Product Description
1 High-Quality Materials 2 Integrated LED Chips 3 Upgraded Design
Adjustable Color Temperature
The adjustable light color perfectly matches the light in your courtyard. You can also adjust the color temperature according to your preference. 2700k/3000k/4000k three color temperatures for you to choose from. If you don’t know what color of light is more suitable for your yard, LEONLITE 3CCT Deck Lights are also your best choice.
Excellent Light
The LED deck light has a wide range of input voltage(12-36V AC/DC) and can be used with most 12V landscape lighting systems (excluding transformers). The brightness is 180LM, which is enough to be used as deck and fence lights.
Note
– An extra transformer (120V to 12V-36V) is needed if the line voltage is 120V.
– The overall power of all the light fixtures should not exceed the 80% of overall rated power of the transformer is recommended.
– When the input voltage is lower than 10V, the light can’t be bright as normal. To avoid the fixture too dark because of the voltage drop, we suggest that connect the lights in parallel not in series.
– DO NOT soak it directly in water or use it long-term in humid environments.

Seems like a quality product for the price
Only installed thes lites a short time ago. Looks like a quality mid range product Don’t care for the wire connection parts though. I bought waterproof wire connectors instead of using what was delivered to me

Best Weatherproof Design
We have a bed and breakfast and lighting is critical. I replaced my Malibu gate and fence lights after several years and these are brighter, more weather proof and more cost effective in the 12 pack. They look great!

Exactly what I needed. I wired these to an LED ballast and everything works perfectly
These lights happen to be the exact same fixture design as our original halogen lights, except they look 10x better. I’m very happy to have found and installed these!I wouldn’t call Installation “easy” for most people (at least into concrete with hidden wiring) but it’s exactly what I expected – no surprises

Plenty of light
Good light, easy instal, good bang for your dollar. All 12 lights worked. One gasket was damaged. Screws that secure the light together are horrible.I have 6 that came damaged. Not sure how to get the screws from the vendor. Other than that I love the lights

After over a year of use, still working great
I installed these on my deck. Even after over a year of Colorado weather, they still function well every night. I have had zero issues since I installed them.

Looks nice
Lights look really nice, tried to contact LeonliteThrough website phone and chat but, phone always say it’s a holiday and there not there. Website says you have to sign up to use and after going through the process keeps saying login failed?,, no customer service. Chat could not answered anything about the product just there to take orders for purchase. Won’t be using this brand any longer

Nice lights
I used these on my deck steps and the brightness was perfect. The only drawback was they’re a little too large and when going down the steps they can catch your heel if you’re not careful.

Clean look and the wires can be fully hidden
If you drill a hole in your wall/fence etc, these can be mounted over the hole and the cord can be run thru, with no cord left exposed. They look extremely clean when mounted properly. The light is tasteful for poolside patio, enough light without ruining the mood.

Quality product
It’s well-made and the brightness and light pattern just what I wanted. My main objection is that the cord comes out the bottom; who would want that? I had to route out a channel for the cord to come out in a hidden way.

Corroded- 1 rainstorm, 5 dead then replaced transformer…them and …
The media could not be loaded.
Update 6 mo later corroded, look terrible. Update: Im thinking now maybe the cheap 50. transformer damaged them? Had purchased an additional 6 pack, so switched out 5 bad ones and sent the 6pk back. Also spent 160. on a quality VOLT transformer and a few Fla rainstorms later, all good. May buy another 12 pack if these still good next week. Changing it to 4 stars.Installed 12. Rained hard today and 5 are out. I installed them correctly. Wiring perfect just hooked another from a set 6 addl ones I had planned to install at same wire junction and IT worked fine. Tomorrow, I will open those 5 up and try to troubleshoot and check gasket seals. For now, not happy. May send all 18 back. Pricey for such issues.Update, replaced the 5 failed ones with the addl 6 pk ones, and sent 6 back, 5 bad ones. incl. Will update if any more ffailures. May buy 6 more, not many value options out there. Volt brand ones are 45. Ea.

well built housing- nice looking deck light
These lights are some of the best I have seen in terms of construction and light output. The only concern have is thefact they do not come with a connector to the main feed cable. You can splice the lights into the cable with wire nuts but it would have been better if a tap in connector was supplied.

A decent option
I’ve never done landscape lighting before, armed with just YouTube and these lights, this really upgrade my deck.I only gave it 4 stars for two reasons: (1) the powder coating wasn’t 100%, there were a few of them with blemished coating jobs, and as pointed out by another reviewer, it’s bizarre that they made these with a diameter greater than a standard 4×4, so if you are super Type A, it will likely bother you that the edges of the lights protrude when mounted to a 4×4

Lights work well.
Great quality. Liked the dimmer switch to allow for softer lighting. Be aware the description says the electric cord is 48”. It’s not. The cord is 36”. I had to splice additional wiring. It worked but added cost and time for install.

Even better than anticipated!

It does help that the hubby is an electrician for the install, but it was easy to assemble over all. Lighting is perfect for our backyard walk way! In comparison to what we saw in the stores, the price is an absolute score and the quality is fantastic!

These are wider than you think.
First off, these are quality lights. I installed 24 of these lights onto my deck. They have survived so far: extreme summer heat, extreme summer storms and they seem very durable. However, these lights, of which I have noted all the qualities are wide. If you’re using 4×4 posts on your deck and your intention is to mount these to them, they are roughly an 1/8 of an inch too wide to mount without an overhang. I worked around this by mounting them low where the wood used between the handrail posts joins; (see my still under construction deck picture) that extra bit of width makes the lights flush, but again if you’re using 4×4 sized wood they are too wide and will leave an overhang.

Be advised potential customers that these are lights only!!! You have to buy the power source and wire separately. It does not say anything about that in the description. So now I have to spend another $50 to get these put up. Very aggravating.

Nice light, shining downward on to the patio from the wall
These wound up being very nice lights. We installed them on a wall at 3 ft high, below eye height. They projected the light outward and down, nicely illuminating the area while not disturbing someone in a chair or standing by the patio. The install was not as easy as it could be. The back has to be unscrewed, then the back is mounted on the wall and then rescrewed closed. You have to be careful of installing the back horizontal otherwise the light will show the tilting. A snap in back would have been better.

Get’s the job done
Ove the past few years I’ve ordered several outdoor lights from Leonlite and have had good results with all of them. These provide a consistent even light. I’ve only had them for a few days so I cannot attest to the longevity, but if they are as good as previous orders they should last several years. My only issue is the installation process. To mount the lights, you must take the cover off. A tool is provided and it is rather easy to remove and install the cover, but an unnecessary step in my HMO. There are no extra screws supplied in the installation kit so be careful not to lose one as I did. I dropped 3 and only found 2. (#6-32 by 3/8 works as a replacement but it is not black)

Great landscape lights but size prevents mounting to a standard post
These lights are very bright yet only consume 2 W of power. The housing is very substantial, unlike many that are just stamped metal. My application was to replace some Malibu similar lights with these LED versions. Most of mine are mounted on standard 4 x 4 redwood posts. Unfortunately the posts are the standard 3 1/2 inches and these lights are 4 inches in diameter.

Just what I hoped for
I could easily install this system, and it works very nicely. The light is good for my stairs, shining down to illuminate where we walk without filling the whole area with light.

Appears to be a bad casting
Purchased a box of 12. Installed 10 of them but got to the 11th one and it had a pin hole in it. Wasn’t to big of a deal so I sealed it up with silicone on the inside and out and installed it. Ironically when I opened the last one as you can see in the picture, I decided not to use this one. Was in a high traffic area and very visible. There was no damage to boxes they were shipped in. appears both were just bad castings. I decided it was not worth the work to uninstall eleven of the installed lights to return them. lesson learned, from now on I will open ever piece of an order before starting installation.

I like the sturdiness of the aluminum enclosure and the silicone gasket. Well made. Trusting the led circuit board etc hold up. My expectation for products like these is at least a 10 year lifespan. More and it makes it exceptional. Let us see ….

Didnt last
Update: after almost 3 years of use 8 of the 12 have died. To get warranty i have to return them at my expense and hope they replace them. Personally id look for higher quality, these just didn’t lastOriginal review:These are nice for the price. They are bigger than i expected ( think hockey puck). Bright enough for this type of light and a nice warm white that looks much like halogen.Overall i am happy with them but i do have a couple gripes i’ll share that is the difference between 4 and 5 stars for me.Wire length: typically when i have lights that dont go in ground, i expect longer wires. These are sold as deck lights which would mean they expect most buyers to mount on top rail of deck railing. Standard rail height is 36″ but the wires on these are only like 34″. This means if you are mounting on top rails it will be difficult/impossible to hide your connections without soldering ( and if you solder be mindful of polarity as these are LED) These should have a minimum of 48″ of exposed wire IMOMounting screws: the screws these things come with are garbage. The heads strip easily and the finish offers little to no resistance to corrosion. The screws aren’t rated for use with modern pressure treated wood im sure. Do yourself a favor and buy a box of #6 x 1-1/4 stainless steel screws and use those instead. You can get these retail for like a dime apiece and it drives me crazy that items intented for outdoor use on pressure treated wood dont include screws that are compatible .Hex screws: speaking of screws, for some reason the manufacturer of these installed all the cover screws prior to shipping. Since it is impossible to install these without removing the covers ( unless you are mounting with douple side tape) you have to remove each screw (3 per light) before you can install. It sounds like no big deal but its a waste of time and adds time and effort trying not to strip the heads or chip the paint removing screws that will have to be reinstalled anyway.Speaking of screws ( again) be careful not to drop one because they included ZERO extra, not one. BUT you do get 1 allen wrench with each light even though you could install all 12 lights with a single one, and even if you lost it you could easily replace it, unlike one of the factory paint matched allen screws. I’d much rather recieve 4 or 5 spare screws rather than 12 allen wrenchesNot sure on longevity yet. I just installed these yesterday so time will tell and ill update if need beHope this helps someone.

Great Torchstar customer service
I purchased a set of 12 and checked each one prior to installation. After one day one light went out.I especially like the 5 year warranty that comes with this product. I did have some trouble to contact customer service on the phone but when I sent them an email asking for help on the warranty, a sevice assistant responded the next day . The person was knowledgeable and gave me the assistance I needed to receive a replacement. From the time that I contacted Torchstar to the time I received a replacement it was probably 7 or 8 business days. Thank you Torchstar.

Awesome, until they’re not!
Updated: 8/22/23: Lights are covered by a 3yr warranty. Contacted seller, supplied same pics as I posted here, and they sent me three replacements. While I’m thankful they did, I don’t have a high expectations of any of them lasting. I’m changing from a one stars to two stars, but knowing what I know now, I would not have bought these.Update 8/11/23: Less than a year after installing them, I have three that have dimmed considerably. I’m going to see what the warranty is but I’m not going to hold my breath. *See updated pics. The photos look like there is more daylight than there really is. Also, they are on a sensor that turns them off during the day.10/11/22: I purchased these to install on our 3-rail fence and they did not disappoint! I installed them on every other post (fence is 130ish ft long), which is about every 16′, and it turned out perfect! Since the run was so long, I used 14ga landscape wire, a 300w transformer (leaves me room to expand), and I don’t see any voltage drop. Overall, I spent about $300 on this setup. One thing I did do, is I used outdoor 1 1/4″ deck screws, since the wood is pressure treated. The screws that it came with would just rust out in no time.Would I buy these again? Yep, I would not hesitate. I’ll update if I experience any issues, but so far, so good!

Great for Stairs
We put these on our deck steps and they are great. We put one per stair and could have gotten away with every other one, but wanted it to be bright enough. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was that two of the light fixtures didn’t have all of the face plate screws. We were fine as we ordered two of the 12-packs, so had a couple of extra and could manage, but if we’d needed them all, I’d have had to return the 12 pack to get another set. Kind of a pain…

I really like these lights
I was afraid these would not give off enough light. These are perfect. They are not too bright but give off just enough accent light to see just fine. If more light is needed I just turn on my floods. I did have an issue with one light having a short. I contacted the seller and they asked me to provide pictures of the light not working. Once I did that they sent me a brand new light. These are great for providing a nice amount of light without the yard looking like a stadium. I hooked these up using a DEWENWILS 200W Multi-Tap Low Voltage Transformer and a Kasa Smart Outdoor Smart Plug KP400 to allow me to control via app or Alexa voice command. The Kasa Smart Plug fit inside the transformer case. Very happy with the product and the seller.

LEONLITE 12-Pack Low Voltage LED Deck Lights – Great Value!
Install tips: Put a towel on the deck around the pole in case you drop one of those small mounting screws. Make sure the allen wrench is inserted into the screw head tightly and force the wrench firmly onto the screw head. A tight fitting glove may help turn the wrench to loosen the screws. Keep any extender wire connections as compact as possible so that the wire will feed through the hole you drill. Small fine wallboard screws worked best to mount the fixture without having to drill pilot holes for the screws provided with the kit.

Good value for the price, installation prep is everything
The media could not be loaded.
I installed these lights on my deck to increase safety and add some ambiance. These lights absolutely deliver. I am happy with the results, but I have to say that you have to have a good plan before you get started with installation to ensure you understand what you are getting into. If you do it right, you can achieve a fantastic, clean installation with no visible wires. To caveat everything you are about to read: I’m an engineer. One of the best features of these lights are how well the electronics are protected in the housing. Since these are outdoor fixtures, this is a must. As you can see from the pictures, the light is composed of two halves, with a silicone gasket ensuring a water resistant seal between the two halves. You can also see a nice bead of sealant fixing the frosted lens to the aluminum body. They did not skimp on the sealant, and as an added touch, they placed a bit of additional sealant to “tack” a small part of the silicone gasket to the front housing. This keeps the silicone gasket from rotating out of place, ensuring the holes are aligned when you put the two halves together again. This was done on all 12 of the lights I installed, so it was done deliberately. This was a nice touch. Anyhow, you can also see the back half of the assembly has the electronics board that has the LED elements. There are 18 elements per light. You can see there is a nice strain relief clamp and good solder joints going into the board. The power cable goes out of the housing through a nice rubber grommet, which does two things: prevent chafing of the conductors and protect against moisture/insect intrusion. Again, nice touches. The back housing has three other fastener through holes, so if you ever need to remove the front housing to clean it off, it will not affect the mounted piece that houses the electronics. This is good design. Each light comes with a small accessory bag that has three fasteners (each with a rubber gasket), three plastic anchors, a hole pattern template and two wire nuts (outdoor rated, silicone filled). For my installation, I chose to forego the plastic anchors and fasten directly to the wood, but it is a nice option to have. My other critique is the wire nuts are fairly small, and the typical gauge of landscape wire will make it a little difficult to insert thee conductors per wire nut (which would be typical in a parallel installation). I did not know the lights came with these, so I purchased other exterior rated wire nuts that were larger and suitable, but it is very nice to have these included. The best way to prepare for installation is to lay out the lights in the places where you think you will need them and hold them in place with painter’s tape. Cut lengths of landscape wire and connect the system. An important note: if you choose to do this “fit and placement check” CONNECT THESE WITH REGULAR WIRE NUTS, so you can undo them later. Another great feature of these lights is that they can be powered by DC or AC 12V to 24V. What this means is you have options on power supplies depending on your application. Since my deck isn’t huge, I decided to go with 12V DC. If you are intending on placing these along a long fence or deck rail, I would recommend an 12 or 24VAC power supply to ensure your lighting is equal brightness. If you go with DC, like I did, you have to be mindful of polarity. I chose the “ribbed” lead to be the return (ground) and the smooth side +12VDC. To geek out, I can tell you I did three parallel runs back to the supply, with 4 lights per run. This ensured even brightness. Anyhow, when everything is connected and ready, give it a quick power on test and check the lights. Once you verify they all illuminate, wait for it to get dark and turn them on again. Reposition the lights as needed. You can see the pictures of my power on and placement test as well. The next day, use the template (or simply use the holes on the back piece) to mark your mounting holes. You also have to ensure you mark a fourth hole for the power lead to go through the wood. If you do this correctly, you will not see the power cable. You’re going to have to disconnect all the connections you made during the fit check and redo them once you’ve gone under or behind the deck boards to hide the cables. Make the final connections with the weatherproof wire nuts. There are some things you have to be careful with with these lights:1. When you are fastening the back half to the mounting surface, I recommend using a manual screwdriver. On the first light, I used a powered screwdriver, the bit slipped and I damaged the circuit board. I used a soldering iron and put the inductor back on there and repaired it, but lesson learned.2. The paint job on these lights is okay at best. The paint will scratch easily, so be gentle during installation. The good news is the front halves that get the brunt of the light will be easy to re-paint in the future. The pictures and video don’t really do the lights justice. The 3000K light is warm and even toned. The lens also diffused the light well (you don’t see a bunch of little dots) and have pretty good coverage if you mount them higher. I kept most of mine lower to the deck on the inside, but mounted higher on the outside, so the beam width at those locations gave me good coverage.Overall, these are good lights. Take your time with placing and installation and you will be very pleased with the results. I know I am.

Good lights, good price.
These light are well made. Put out good light but not too much. My iPhone pics are “maybe” a little brighter than the real brightness,,but very close to the pictures. I’m running 220 feet of 12 gauge wire, 38 lights in parallel. All of them together draw about as much as a 100 watt lightbulb. I think they really look nice. They’ve been installed and running now for 4 weeks. I did buy the 3 year warranty on the lights just in case. According to the manufacturer they should last about 17 years running them 8 hours a night. We will see. They are a little tedious to install “at first”. You have to take out 3 small regular screws to remove the front housing then sit that aside. Then with the main housing, mark the 3 screw holes and main wire hole on the fence board. Then drill those holes. Then screw 3 wood screws with rubber O-rings on them to attach the main housing light fixture to the fence (O-rings on screws for no moisture problems) Nice…. Then re-screw the 3 small regular screws to reattach the front housing to the main fixture. It took me about 5 minutes a light to attach them to the fence and about 4-5 hours to run the wire on the fence and in the ground where the gates are then connect the lights to the wire. Or all day Saturday 😀 Note: These lights are about 70% LESS per light than Lowe’s or Home Depot where there’s cost $25.00 a light…$25.00 a light?? .AnywayI ordered 40 of these lights from Amazon (2 for backup) I had no issues with any of them. They are all working and made correctly. Based on what I know right now, I would definitely buy these again.

Fabulous lighting
These landscape lights are really fabulous and light up my whole walkway in my courtyard. There are also easy to install although you need to remember that the wires with the Ridge go together and the wires without the Ridge go together. I guess that’s an electrical thing that everyone hast to learn. Other than that they were super easy to install.

Good Quality, Low Price, Easy Install–And a Few Tips
I don’t usually write reviews. I am writing this one because I learned a few things that might help others. My plusses and minuses and installation tips appear below.I just installed 21 of them. Overall, I have given them four stars. I have only put voltage to 3 (I’m still wiring), and I can’t yet speak to longevity or durability. So far, with the exceptions below, all is well.First the minuses:• I received one pack (6 in the box) that was obviously a return. There were scuff marks on the black finish which someone tried to cover with a magic marker. Not good, Amazon. I installed these in a rustic setting, so I can live with the 3 I had to use. If you order these, I’d check before installing to see if they are in good condition.• It’s not clear the coating will be durable (see immediately above). It appears to be paint, not powder coated. They won’t get bumped much, but only time will tell how long before I have to repaint them.• As mentioned by other reviewers, the wire is way too short. If installed at waist height (and passed through a 3 ½ inch post), a connection is necessary well above deck level. To minimize the ugliness of the wire nuts they supply, I used solder connections and shrink wrap. But I had to do that on all 21 lights, which greatly complicated my project.• Also mentioned by others, there is no need for 21 allen wrenches. Also questionable are the supplied screw anchors, since I expect most installations will be into wood. Better to supply extra screws, longer wire and skip the wire nuts, allen wrenches and anchors.• Note that the outer diameter of these is larger than the standard 4×4 deck post, leaving about 1/8 inch overhang. This does not bother me, but it might bother you.• The drilling template proved useless, so I didn’t use them. The plusses:• These are reasonable quality, affordable lights at about $10 per light. Despite the quirks and problems above, they compare well against the 8 similar looking lights I have by Kichler at $75 apiece. If you are a perfectionist, feel free to spend 8 times more for a Kichler.• They really are easy to install (see below).• They are perfect for my deck installation. Properly spaced they provide a nice warm illumination that is both mood setting and an enhancement for safety (we have four stepdown levels to our deck).• Unlike some others, I had no problems with screw quality. No, they are not aircraft grade, but they don’t have to be if you use care (see below.).Installation tips:• Throw out those allen wrenches and get a screwdriver, either with a 3/32 hex bit or a T10 torx bit. I used the latter, and while torx heads are not the same as the hex head, it is perfect for this low torque operation. If I had to use those allen wrenches, I’d still be there.• Tools that make the job a snap: hex/torx screwdriver; awl; screwdriver or gun with Philips head; 5/16 paddle or twist drill bit (for going through a standard 4×4 post); 1/8 inch drill bit for piloting. In a perfect world, you’d have 3 guns: one for each drill size and one as screwdriver. I used two and changed drill bits.• After unpacking the light, carefully remove and set aside the three screws that connect the cover to the back.• Remove the cover and leave the gasket with the cover.• Place the light on the post where you want it. Allow at least 1/4 inch above the top of the back for clearance if you are mounting under a post cap.• With the awl, poke a hole for the top screw. Then poke an additional reference mark off to the side even with where the wire will go through the post.• Use your eye (or a level) to drill a 5/16 inch hole directly across from the reference mark and in the center of the post.• Pass the wire through the hole.• Align the light on the post and mark (or just drill) pilot holes for each screw. These pilot holes are important, and lack of them is probably the source of the complaints about screw quality.• After moving the rubber grommet to the head of each screw, screw in the mounting screws. If you use a gun, be extremely careful not to overtorque. The grommet sealing water out can easily be damaged or rendered useless if too much torque is applied. Snug is all that is necessary.• Replace the cover using the three mounting screws and hex/torx driver. Again, do not overtighten. Just push the cover firmly against the post and tighten the screws until they are snug.Once I got going, each light took about 5 or so minutes apiece.

Recommended!
Great product, purchased mine a few months back and they’re going strong, very bright. use these along the perimeter of my house against block wall. install was a bit tricky due to the cinder block but that’s my choice of install application. overall would recommend. thanks!

Sturdy, attractive and fully enclosed
Purchased these to replace some stamped metal hood-type 12 volt halogen wedge bulb lights. Over time the wedge sockets had become loose which resulted in intermittent function. Not being fully enclosed they were also open to weather and insects – including wasps that liked to build nests in them. These new fixtures were a huge improvement and well worth the extra expense. The LED bulbs are much brighter and will last longer. Also, there’s enough room in the hood portion to modify the wiring and make the electrical nut connections within the enclosed portion of the light. This enables installation without having to further bore out the deck post or otherwise rewire the fixture. Fit, finish and construction are impeccable.

Good for the price.
Used these in combination with the Leonlite pathway lights for around my pool. About half of the lights are mounted on the fence (this style) and the other half are in the landscaped beds (post style). The install was a bit tedious, you have to disassemble the light to mount the back then put the cover back on. Does come with a drilling template which is a nice thought but it doesn’t include the placement of the hole for the wires so less useful. You can mount the lights with the wires just running down the mounting surface (no hole for wires needed) but I chose to pass it through to the backside of the fence. The lights are packaged like they could be sold individually but you can’t seem to buy them that way and the result is a lot of wasted materials and packaging. You’ll have a small pile of bags and templates and wrenches. It does appear that they made an effort to waterproof the housing with o-rings around the screws and a gasket between the cover and base plate. These lights are quite wide so if you’re planning to mount on a fence or post make sure they’ll fit first. The wires are about 3 ft long and do come tinned which is nice if you’re using wire nuts. I used the crimp on type connectors which were massively easier than wire nuts but not quite designed for tinned wire connections. They do work however. The light temperature I purchased was the warm white which is nice for outdoor, they show a bit “bluer” in the pic than in reality, also a bit brighter as that’s a “night mode” shot. The light does shine at a mostly downward angle so you need to mount them high to light the ground out away from the mounting location. Mine are about 3.5ft high and spaced about 8ft apart which is enough to light the deck around the pool to be able to see to walk. In summary, these are a good price for the quality, they seem to be made better than “fail after one season” cheap. They’ve been working for about a month so far, will update if I get any failures.
