This transformer was very easy to install and the function buttons are easy to use to set up the on off times. I use the photocell on and set the time to go off but it is very easy to set any way you want. I ran two lines out of it one that was around 150’ and all work super.

It appears high-end. Packaged very well. Instructing are pretty straightforward. I love the photo eye so it turns on/off at dusk/dawn. Or you have other options. The connecting points are quite secure. I already have some lights from Sunvie and they’ve been very reliable and quality made. Nice work!

As other people mentioned, this unit should not be rated as outdoor use. After a rain, water got into the front circuit board through the edges of the buttons. The battery is shorted, that’s why the time and other settings are not persisted. I cleaned and dried it, but the board cannot function as it was. This is a flawed product not for outdoor.

Transformer worked perfect for two,days. Next day after it rained, it showed 12:00 and looked to be factory rest. Tried to set time and sometimes it set and then factor reset by its self. Other times I would not be able to set time until I tried six or more times. Then same thing. It would reset. Returned for another one. Hope that was a fluke.

This appears to be a well built transformer with several useful settings. After I installed it, my ongoing problems with my previous transformer disappeared. I was able to replace my old transformer in about an hour. Here are several suggestions to facilitate installation. 1) Program the unit in the garage or a dimly lit location before you install it into its permanent location. The unit “remembers” the settings even after it is unplugged. The LED lights tend to be faint making it difficult to program in the sunlight. 2) Use concrete or stucco screws if the transformer is being placed on a stucco wall. The anchoring screws that come with the transformer are not likely to hold well in stucco. 3) Use an alternative way of attaching the dusk/dawn sensor to the wall. The hardware that comes with the transformer is only adequate at best.

I just installed it this afternoon, could not have been easier with just two wires for my front yard. Plugged it in and turned it on and was off to the races. Setting it up was a little clunky to learn but once you figure out one thing, the rest of it seems to function very similarly.I am using the set timer for my front yard, got the times in there and it turned on without issue at the correct time.The buttons are well placed, unlike the unit I replaced. For this unit, they are under the screen where on my old unit they are above. This helps to easily see the screen while depressing the buttons. The screen is clear and easy to navigate. It also allows you to change the hour and minutes independently. This by itself is a huge improvement over the last unit. The buttons are good sized and depress easily, also unlike my last unit.This is day one, I’ll update if anything changes. Cheers!

Good transformer with multiple programming features for on and off light settings. Has two options for 12 or 14 volt usage as well as being able to connect 2 sets of lights to the unit. I will definitely purchase a second unit for the front of the house as even a 300 volt transformer has limits on the number of light that can be used. I wish that the manufacturer had been more clear about wire gauge and distance in the specifications but a good chart was provided with the unit. It makes a difference in the wire and number of lights that you can use with the unit. I took a photo of the information chart that is provided that is helpful and hopefully it can help someone in determining what they can use with this unit. But based on what is available, I strongly recommend this unit. A little expensive but I think that it is worth the price for what you get. Be careful not to purchase a cheaper unit that only has a max of 200 volts as you can only use 80% of the capacity. The lights in the picture is about 1/3 of what I will connect to the transformer as these are only 3 volts each and I will connect 20 of these and have an additional 9 lights that are 20 volts using 12 gauge wire. Check out the chart to determine what you can connect.

I bought two sets of lighting kits (8 pathway and 4 spot lights each) plus the transformer and 250’ of wire all together. Installation was easy and the result is fantastic. I replaced solar landscape lights that have been going dark after two hours during the dark winter months. These are absolutely beautiful and provide the perfect amount of light.

This unit works fine so far; had it a week. Install was easy enough and power output is good. It has options for manual on/off, sensor on timer off, sensor on/off, and timer on/off …however you can only set one timer on/off. So if you want it to come on at dusk and off at say 10pm, then back on at 5am and of at 7am, you can’t do that. Other units from Lowes or Home depot had this kind of option.

The transformer is very heavy. When I saw the bracket to install it, I questioned if it could hold it. Used the supplied screws and anchors into exterior stucco wall, and pre-drilled the holes for this. After install haven’t had any issues and I’ve removed it from the bracket a few times to get all the wires connected.The various timer options are great and I ran the ‘eye’ into a place that gets darker earlier so that the lights kick on as soon as dusk is starting to set. It has multiple settings to satisfy a variety of uses. I use the on at dusk and off at a set time function. Overall highly recommend.

Really like this transformer. I have another transformer that had been powering a pretty long string of all LED lights. Not many lights but I think the length of the main supply line was right at the limit. Split my system into two sections and now all the lights are bright and working great. Reading the reviews I had a bit of concern about the dependability but it’s been in use a couple of weeks and so far has worked perfectly so time will tell. Easy to set up though I wish the lights that show you what mode you’re in were a little brighter. On the day I installed mine it was sunny and it was hard to see the mode.

After setting up the SUNVIE 300W Low Voltage Transformer in my backyard, I’ve got to share how thrilled I am with this find. You know that feeling when you find a gadget that just makes life easier? That’s what this transformer did for my outdoor space. The timer and photocell sensor combo? Genius! Now, I don’t have to remember to turn the lights on and off. It does the thinking for me based on how dark it gets. And speaking of worry free, the waterproof feature has been a lifesaver, especially with the unpredictable rain showers we’ve been having. Setting it up was surprisingly easy even for a weekend DIY warrior like me.

This thing is pretty great – took like 2 minutes to set up honestly SO fast and crazy easy to use. However – I wanted one line for my pond fountain 24/7 and the second line to be on photocell. This isn’t possible, so returned it. For a basic application I’d highly recommend. But for what I needed it didn’t make the cut. Hopefully the company makes independent controlled lines in the future – the one I also got here on Amazon allows independent and while it’s app isn’t as quick to set up as this one, it does what I need. They won’t let me post the name of that one lol.

The transformer so far is doing the job. Very heavy, feels well built. Easy to program but do it at night. You cannot see the LED indicator lights on the front when it is in the sunshine. Comes on overnight and goes off every morning like it should. I would recommend it

I purchased some landscape lights from Volt and I’m glad I did. They are not cheap but so well built and should last forever. I looked to Amazon to save some money on this project on a low voltage transformer. I was suprised to see a 300w unit at the Sunvie’s price point. I could have gotten one with less wattage but 300v gives you a lot more options for future expansion. The Sunvie unit is very well built, easy to set up, and works like a charm! I did panic a little after I purchased it because it was only then that I realized I needed a multi-tap transfomer and the Sunvie was not advertised as such. I was set to return it upon receipt but decided to open the box and to my surprise, it has two 12v and 14v taps! Amazon please add this feature to the product description page. I’ve only had it installed for a few days and will post updates regarding the product’s performance at some future date.

I just love this Low Voltage transformer. Even the screws where the wires attach are covered with a plastic door. This thing is extremely weatherproof. I’m running close to 20 lights on this and they all shine brightly. So easy to install and program. Love this Sunvie so much more than the Intermatic Malibu and Portfolio transformers I’ve used in the past…..and a hell of a lot less money! I’ve been using this transformer for over 2 days now and it still works great!

Just receved this transformer and was impressed with the “heft” and quality. It was pretty similar in functions to the unit it’s replacing (150W 2 output (12 & 14V)) so operating it was doable without the help of the manual. I did checkout the manual just to see the quality and I’ll say it’s just as good as the unit.About the only complaints I have, and they’re a bit nit picky, would be that I wish the display panel numbers/letters were red instead of white and, the mount for the wall has a relatively small foot print for a unit this heavy. I like the red display since it won’t blind you when playing with it at night. I was a bit concerned with the mount since the unit is heavier than my old one. All that said, I don’t plan on messing with the unit once I’m happy with the settings and lighting and, the mount is sufficient. So like I said, the two minor things I didn’t like are a nit picks.Overall I would recommend this unit for now and I’ll be sure to update this review if anything changes.

The first unit did not last more than one week. The second unit did not last more than 30 days. Disappointed as this replaced my 17-year-old Malibu 300 W. It has great power, but the circuitry fails and just flickers, and the light stopped working. I cannot recommend this at all.November 29, 2023 I’m updating to two stars because the seller reached out and offered to send me a replacement provided that I give them my mailing address. 🤷🏻♂️ I politely declined and had already mailed the second defective unit back to them, and currently in transit. When I removed the unit from the outside wall about 5 feet above ground water came out of the up down buttons. I suspect this is not rated for outdoor use.

This looked and worked great when I hooked it up. Now after a storm… it’s just a brick. It was an Amazon’s Choice. They should back it up better than 30 days. It was like renting it for the $100 I spent. Get the old school kind that have the protective cover and last forever.

This is a large, heavy unit with rather small wire terminals that are way too easy to loosen to the point where the retaining screws fall out suddenly and you then have to retrieve them from wherever they bounced (assuming you can find them). But I could have lived with this (since it’s a one-time annoying setup to attach your landscape lighting wires). The issue: I tested the unit to see if it would retain all its settings in the event of a power outage and it failed: The unit came back on and immediately forgot that I wanted to lights to turn off at 10pm…requiring me to reset the unit. I tested it multiple times and it failed to keep my settings in memory. Back it went.

I purchased this 300w Sunvie low voltage transformer about three months ago and it worked flawlessly, until a rainstorm that is. The transformer started having issues after that. I can try and reset the time, but it goes straight back to 12:00 every time. The unit now make a constant clicking sound and lights constantly flicker. Since Amazon only helps with your potential issues for 30 days, I had to find a way to communicate with Sunvie myself (that Jeffy B!..you really care about your customers bro!!!). I contacted Sunvie directly and left messages, with not even one response. It would appear that I’m going to have to buy another transformer, and you sure as hell can bet it won’t be a transformer, or any other product from this pathetic company. I give this company and their product 👎👎👎👎👎If you like getting absolutely nothing for your money, buy from Sunvie lol!
